Luke 4v 14-21 (Isaiah 61v1-2)

It is only in Jesus that we can find complete healing

Our body mind spirit all need his touch

Acts 4v12/10v36-38

Spiritual Healing v18

‘Preach good news to the poor’

Spiritual poverty, Eph.2v12/Luke 12v15-21.

Q. What does it mean to be poor spiritually?

Emotional healing v18-19

‘Freedom for the prisoner’
‘Release for the oppressed’

Many are trapped in resentment, bitterness and fear.
Others in bondage to depression and rejection.
Demons sent from Satan afflict many with lies about who they are.

1John 4v8 / Matt. 11v28

Q. What is the answer to these things?

Physical Healing v18

‘Recovery of sight to the blind’

Strictly speaking we should interpret this the same as v18 ‘Good news to the poor'
That is Blind towards God 'Spiritually blind' but when we read v38-41 we see that many who were sick were healed by Jesus.

Isaiah 53v4-5.

Q. How much does faith play in seeing healing?

It might be a good idea to spend time praying for each other and for any who have relatives who are not Christians.
